Hi, I am Amber and I have just completed 8 weeks on the Nutrisystem diet now, and I am excited to tell you the things I learned in the second month (see my 4th week update here).
First, I will talk about some of my favorite foods that I've discovered. I recommend that when you start the program, you start with a big variety of different foods, and once you figure out what you like the most, you can double up and order extra of those.
I've learned that for the breakfast foods, the fresh frozen French toast and the garden variety omelets are definitely my favorite ones. Right now, I don't even have any because I've eaten them all!

For lunches I absolutely love the mashed potatoes. I don't know why, but there's something in them – they are creamy, rich, etc. They just taste delicious. I will definitely order more of those for the upcoming months so they don't run out as quickly.

And I love the beef and mashed potatoes for the dinner as well as the pizza. I will be ordering extra of those too. It's great to have multiple things you really like, but also have a big variety, mix them, so you don't get bored.
The ice cream sandwich is still my favorite dessert. I won't lie, I love it. It tastes just like the ones you buy from the grocery store but a lot healthier for you – a lot less fat, and sugar, and calorie content.
Another tip and trick I've learned over the last two months is that with lunches you get a high intake of vegetables for the day. Normally, you have a huge salad for lunch which can be paired with either the mashed potatoes or the lunch bars which are also very delicious. My favorite bar is the one with caramel in it. I also ran out of those because I eat them all the time.

The chocolate raspberry bar is also really good and it's sweeter than I expected. Thus, it can be paired with a salad and all the greens that you need at lunch so you don't have to work them into the meals which are a bit larger.
Another thing I've learned is that when you're craving foods, it's really good to drink water all the time – it helps a lot.
Another thing that took me this long to learn was about the online community on Nutrisystem.com. You want to utilize the online resources as well. You have a support group there, you have great weight loss tracking systems, and you can track your measurements online. This way, it's easier to keep track of them instead of doing it on paper and losing them. You need to use the online community. For me it took a while to learn to use it because I didn't have the time. However, I did it this week and the resources there are amazing. I highly suggest from the very beginning to get on that online community and use those resources.
In my blog in jadlouisedesigns.com I have a little tracker I created to track my own weight progress. It's really cute, it's fun, motivational. Again, I highly suggest using that online community.
Those are the things I've learned in the last 8 weeks. Not everybody is perfect, you will possibly have some stumble weeks. I had a couple myself, so I'm not as far on my weight loss journey as I hoped to be by this point. We have those bad weeks. When this happens, brush yourself off, get back on, and start eating right the very next day…or the very next week. Don't wait. Don't give up. Don't say, "Oh, I've lost it" and just quit. You need to get going. Otherwise, you'll end up back where you started. That's not what we want. We want progress. We want commitment. We want success. If you get back on the program, you'll have success. It will be hard to get back on the first few days, but it will be worth it.
Anyhow, that's what I learned on these two months and I can't wait to see what the next four weeks bring before you read from me again. Hopefully, I'll be smaller and I will have some more great tips to share with you!
